LIST OF ACCREDITED PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS’ TRAINING INSTITUTIONS IN GHANA AND CORRESPONDING PROGRAMMES AS OF SEPTEMBER, 2023
In accordance with Council’s Regulatory mandate under Part II of the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857), Council wishes to notify the public about institutions that have been accredited and recognised to train PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS (Medical, Oral Health and Anaesthesia) in Ghana and the corresponding accredited programmes of study as follows:

NOTES:
- The Medical and Dental Council SHALL NOT grant any form of registration to graduates from institutions not accredited by Council.
- The Council SHALL ALSO NOT grant Retrospective Accreditation to any institution.
- The Kings and Queens Medical College, Akosombo is NOT ACCREDITED OR RECOGNISED by the Medical and Dental Council to train the following professionals:
- Doctors
- Dentists
- Physician Assistants (Medical, Oral Health, and Anaesthesia)
